About the Ballpark and Its Events
M. L. “Tigue” Moore Field, commonly called Tigue Moore Field, has served as the Ragin’ Cajuns’ home since 1983. The original ballpark opened in 1978 as Moore Family Field, took the Tigue Moore name in 1995, and became M. L. “Tigue” Moore Field at Russo Park in 2017.
The former venue was demolished in July 2016, and the rebuilt ballpark reopened before February 2017. Its playing surface is a ProGrass Synthetic Turf System. The field measures 330 feet down each foul line, 375 feet to left-center and right-center, and 400 feet to center field. A Daktronics HD video board is also part of the facility.
The ballpark has hosted the Sun Belt Conference Baseball Tournament five times: in 1997, 2001, 2003, 2008, and 2013. It has also hosted NCAA Regionals in 2000, 2014, and 2016, plus an NCAA Super Regional in 2014.
How do you find current game and ticket information?

Check the university’s official athletics information for game schedules and ticket details, since dates, times, and ticket arrangements depend on the game. To plan your visit, check the official site before you go.
Look up the specific game you intend to attend and confirm its details before making plans around it. A series listing may not provide the same information as the details for an individual game, so verify the relevant date and ticket instructions directly.
What should you check before entering?

Confirm entry, parking, and accessibility arrangements with the venue before game day. The address is 121 Reinhardt Drive, Lafayette, Louisiana; use it when checking directions and any current visitor guidance.
If you’re also attending an event at Cajun Field, check Cajun Field parking arrangements separately rather than assuming they match those for the baseball venue.
The University of Louisiana at Lafayette campus is another nearby subject to include in a wider Lafayette visit; a visitor guide to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette covers the university.
How do you get to the ballpark from Scott?

From Days Inn by Wyndham Lafayette Scott, M. L. Tigue Moore Field is about a 9-minute drive. The ballpark is in Lafayette, so make sure your directions lead to 121 Reinhardt Drive rather than an address in Scott.
For a longer outing, you can pair a game with time at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Check the university’s visitor guide to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and the ballpark’s game details separately so you can plan the timing of both stops.
